READ for Life class enjoys Lee’s Chicken

The READ for Life class was studying healthy food, use of public transportation and working with a budget – when someone had the great idea of putting it all into practice. Why not take a trip to a local restaurant?  They determined which restaurant was convenient to the bus stop next to our office. Using CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System) modules, they practiced reading a menu and added their choices to be sure they were within the budget set. The day finally came for them to take their journey to lunch!
