A Day of Art and Music at the Perkinson Center
Last week, three of our students, joined by two dedicated tutors and their teacher, took a special trip to the Perkinson Center for the Arts. The visit began with a tour of the gallery’s newest exhibit, where students explored a range of artwork and each selected a favorite piece to be photographed with.
After the gallery tour, the group enjoyed a live musical performance on the patio, thanks to generously donated tickets that made the experience accessible at no cost.
Back in the classroom, the students reflected on their visit by writing about the artwork, the music, and the overall experience, with encouragement and support from their tutors.
It was a joyful day of inspiration and connection and a reminder of how powerful it can be to take learning beyond the classroom.
