We’re proud to share that Josie Voorhies, READ RVA’s Director of Programs and Community Relations, is featured in the Fall 2026 issue of ProLiteracy Notebook!

The collaborative article, “9 Tips to Boost New Tutors’ Confidence,” brings together insights from adult literacy professionals to help new tutors feel prepared and supported as they begin working with adult learners.

Josie contributes her perspective on building meaningful connections between tutors and students and creating a supportive learning environment. Her insights reflect the importance of strong relationships, continued learning, and helping tutors grow in confidence.
